Brackley Fields was established in 1986 and under present ownership from 1995. It was extended in 2007 to provide 34 beds in 33 rooms. Twenty one bedrooms are single en-suite, 11 are single rooms and one double room, ostensibly for a couple.

Public accommodation is comprised of:

  • conservatory
  • 3 sitting rooms, one of which is on the first floor
  • a library
  • a dining room.

The Home is owned by Lt Col, (Retd) & Mrs J Rayner. Mrs Rayner MSc Health Studies; BSc Nursing has had wide experience practising as a SRN.

About 40 loyal full-time and part-time staff provide excellent continuity: most have worked here in excess of 5 years. The Deputy Manager (NVQ 4 & Registered Manager’s Award) and the Training Coordinator (NVQ Assessor) have been here over 16 years.

The Home is registered with the Care Quality Commission to accept 34 elderly people over 65 years of whom some may have mild dementia

We accept residents who have mild dementia insofar that they are able to integrate in our community without detriment to the quality of life of other users.

Our excellent working relationship with the 3 local GP practices ensures that medical and nursing support, when required, is timely.
